Chapter 33: Shocked
After Gavin left the room, Evan wrapped his arms around Rose’s slender waist and buried his head on her neck.
"Dear... don’t be jealous anymore, huh!?" Evan whispered while exhaling her flowery fragrance. He was so addicted to her soothing scent. Don’t want to let go of his arms and just want to hug her like now.
Rose was speechless. How could he know she was jealous?
She closed her laptop, placed it on the coffee table, and held Evan’s hand, still wrapped around her waist.
"E-Evan, is it obvious? How could you know?" She asks shyly.
"Hmm... I can see through your face. As if there’s a sign ’JEALOUS’ written on your forehead." He bites her shoulder gently and makes Rose feel ticklish. She’s squirming while giggling.
Evan releases his embrace. He smiled with satisfaction when he saw Rose’s face turning red. She looks so cute, especially her cherry lips, which make him want to kiss her. But the girl lowering her head makes him even more tempted to do it. To kiss her.
He took her hand on her thigh and then squeezed it gently before saying, "Rose, you can rest easy. Because, in this life, only you, the woman in my heart. I belong to you, and so do you. You belong to me. No one else will be able to separate us...." His voice was so charming that Rose was almost swayed by it.
This man is very good with words. She was impressed.
