Amelia woke up with a terrible headache and she groan when she heard a loud voice singing ’Happy birthday’ to her.
She placed her hand on her head and opened her eyes slowly and she saw her sister smiling face, she couldn’t help but asked jokingly "Does seeing me miserable make you happy?"
Liliana shook her head and said "At least with this pain you feel, you will remember never to drink again"
Amelia place herself in a sitting position on her bed and asked "How did you know where I was? were you stalking me?"
"Of course not, the bartender called and asked me to come get you. Let’s forget about that, today is our birthday. It is the day when we pampered ourselves and ensure everyone does not deny our request."
At the mention of birthday, Amelia immediately search for her phone and when she found it, she unlocked it and went to inbox, the light in her eyes dimmed when saw all the messages in her inbox.
Liliana heart clenched when she saw her sister expression, she knew she was searching for a message from Damien and the reason for the dimness in her eyes was that Damien haven’t called nor has he even sent a message wishing her a happy birthday.
Liliana thought were confirmed when Amelia whispered "He didn’t even send a text." Amelia looked at her sister with tears in her eyes as she said "Has he become so busy that he no longer care about me. Before he will always be the first to wish me ’Happy birthday’ but now, there is no call and no message."
Liliana held her sister hands and said "It’s just 9am, there is still time, who knows he must be planning something big for your birthday."
Amelia looked at her sister in hope as she asked "Do you really think so?"
