Chapter 21: Desire
Have Li Lingyun lost his mind? That was the first thought that cross Lin Yan head when she heard his whispered but apart from that she couldn’t deny that she felt goose bump. She knew that Li Lingyun was not interested in her, so he must definitely be toying with her. With that thought in mind, instead of backing away, Lin Yan wrapped her hands round his neck and join her forehead to his softly as she said "Why aren’t you doing anything, I thought you said you want me?"
Though he didn’t show it but Li Lingyun was surprised. He just wanted to tease her, he never expected her to play along with him.The truth is, he has never been so close to a woman consciously like this before, but for some reason, he didn’t hate it. He didn’t hate being so close to Shen Yi and his eyes went to down to her lips again.
"Close your eyes" Li Lingyun whispered.
At this point, Lin Yan was wondering if he would actually do something to her, she looked at him doubtfully and asked "Why?"
Li Lingyun chuckled when he saw her doubful look and said "Just close them."
Lin Yan close her and kept scolding herself in her mind, perhaps she shouldn’t have played along with his silly games, but those words stop when she felt a soft touch on her forehead. She couldn’t explain it but it was comforting. She was about to open her eyes and Li Lingyun said "Don’t opened them."
She felt hypnotized, if not why would she listen and not open her eyes.
Li Lingyun felt like he was really crazy, he have never felt any romantic feeling for Shen Yi in the three years of their marriage but now he couldn’t say he felt absolutely nothing. The way she asked him if the guy he killed was a bastard rather than accusing him of murder made him felt like he could commit the worst crime in the world and she wouldn’t judge him. He was desiring this woman in front of him and he knew it. How else would he explain the great relief he felt when she told him about her break up with Mu Chen. He was having a possessive feeling towards this woman and he did not like it. He wanted to stop it before it grows, he knew kissing her lips would have been signing his death sentence and that was why he kissed her forehead.
Li Lingyun use his other hand to hold Shen Yi face gently and kissed her on her cheek, he loved the way her body trembled in his arms, he bit her earlobe softly and whispered "Get some rest. I have some things to take care of at the company."
