Chapter 9: Her Shield
Li Jun heard the deep and dark voice of his uncle and was surprised that his uncle was standing up for Shen Yi. Didn’t they hate each other?
"I’m sorry uncle, I was just trying to clear my aunt misunderstanding."
"Misunderstanding? What misunderstanding?"Li Lingyun asked.
Li Jun smiled and said "My aunt here thinks that I killed Lin Yan which isn’t true. Even you must know how much I loved my wife, right?"
Li Lingyun looked at Fang Min who felt no shame and said "Of course, the proof of how much you love your wife is standing in front of me."
He knew it. Li Lingyun must have been the one to instigate Li An against him. But like his grandfather always said, he may underestimate anyone from the Li family but he should never underestimate Li Lingyun. He should be calm until everything in the Li family becomes his.
"Fang Min and I have been dating long before I got married to Lin Yan. I met her again a year ago and I found out I had a five years old daughter with her."
"And you decided to once again start your relationship by cheating on your wife you claim to love. Did Lin Yan ever did anything to deserve your betrayal." Lin Yan asked as she tried her best not to burst in anger.
Li Lingyun glance at Shen Yi briefly and wondered why she was getting affected by the situation. Personally he did not care, he just finds Lin Yan life to be pitiful but why does Shen Yi who has never even spoken much to Lin Yan care about whether Li Jun cheated on her or not.
"It was Lin Yan who came between us and besides they have been married for three years without a child, not only do I have a daughter but every soon I will be giving the Li family an heir." Fang Min said proudly.
"An heir? What makes you think that the Li family doesn’t have an heir. If I remember correctly, I do have a daughter. So are you saying that an illegitimate child will be able to fight with my daughter on inheritance. Aren’t you dreaming too much for a mistress?" Lin Yan said mockingly.
Li Jun and Fang Min darkened at her words. Everyone could sense the mocking in those words. Li Jun looked at Shen Yi and thought of how he has made a mistake. He has never seen Shen Yi as a threat but indeed he has seen Li Xiao as a threat, after all everyone in country D knew that the daughter of Li Lingyun is the apple of Old master Li eyes.
