Chapter 58 : Physics
Eiden looked at Lyra, who had tightened her grip on his hand as if she didn’t want to let go at all. It was quite bold of her, yet her posture contradicted that boldness. Her head was bowed, clearly trying to hide her face from him.
He remained still, resisting the strong urge to pull her into a hug and maybe even steal a kiss. But no, not yet. He had to play it slow careful. He couldn’t make it obvious that he liked her. That would defeat the entire purpose. No, the plan was simple: gaslight her into falling for him while acting like he was just being kind. A favor, really. Nothing more.
After a while, Lyra finally spoke. Her voice was low but audible. "There are too many people here... we might get separated, so..."
Eiden nodded and responded using his [Soothing Voice] skill to help ease her nerves.
"Sure," he said with a calm smile, then added, "Shall we?"
She looked up at him. Her bright red face broke into a small, nervous smile as she gave a shy nod. He led her toward one of the thrill rides a machine that launched upward with incredible force before plummeting down just as fast. The kind of ride meant to jolt your soul out of your body and back in again.
As they boarded together, Eiden still held her hand. The ride jerked to life. WOAAAHHHHH!!! he yelled with excitement as the ride shot upward. WOAAAHHH!!! again, as it fell.
He glanced to the side, catching sight of Lyra. Her eyes were shut tightly, and she gripped his hand with both of hers now tighter than before. Though, in the midst of all the adrenaline, Eiden barely noticed.
Then came the third lift. As the ride shot up once more, his gaze unintentionally dropped.
His eyes widened. Lyra’s chest... her boobs... were jiggling up and down with every rise and drop. The physics involved were glorious. It was almost comical how determined gravity seemed to be in yanking them out of her clothes. Each time the ride went up, it looked like they were on the verge of escaping; each time it came down, they practically bounced in rebellion, like her bra might snap under the pressure.
