Don: The Blood Chains

Chapter 32: Switch ’em down.

In Pablo’s head the plan was clear and straightforward, get in the cars, then go to an outdoor shop, buy clothes and shovels to literally seem like tourists, then go and find the spot and dig up the money.

A perfect plan... well, it would be a perfect plan, but there was something that Pablo and even Joseph didn’t calculate in.

His face now is all over the place, like literally in social media, in the news, everybody was talking about him, even more than Vicente’s death itself... but it was more about the family that they talked about. How the Cassian ruled, how they killed, bribed, corrupted every single sector they reached for, and now the last one is out on the streets, the one that killed all of his own family.

The most important thing about it was that all of this wasn’t just the news and the public that picked up on the story, but the criminal underworld too... the only good thing was that now everybody was kind of ignoring Joseph because he didn’t make any moves. At least the director’s narrative worked well, that they were the ones that killed Vincente. But once the news breaks or leaks that it was actually Joseph, then that’s the time when all hell is going to break loose.

But now nothing is happening. The shift is going on, with some panic and waiting to see what exactly is going to happen in the Lisonda family.

An internal conflict? Is the underboss going to kill each other? Is it going to split into factions, into small families? What’s going to happen with their control over the drug market?

There were so many questions that needed to be answered, and everybody expected that it’s going to be answered with bullets and blood.

If that happens, it will be a clear indication of an all-out war for the drug market, to control it and everybody will happily participate in it.

Meanwhile, the Cassian family was ignoring all of this, riding through the city for an outdoor shop... what an era this is...
