Chapter 15: The truth-1
He hadn’t expected to see that familiar silver head here.
"Rinne..." he called out, trying to sound casual. "When did you get back?"
He hadn’t seen her around lately—but then again, he hadn’t exactly been leaving his room much, either.
She walked toward him slowly, her eyes never leaving his face. "What were you doing here?" she asked, the same question again.
Hades blinked. Was this spot special to her or something?
"I just came up here to clear my head," he said with a shrug.
But she didn’t stop. Step by careful step, she continued closing the distance, her eyes still cautious, still searching his expression.
He stayed quiet, unsure what to make of her mood—until she suddenly grabbed his hand.
"What—"
With a sharp tug, she pulled him away from the edge. He stumbled, landing hard on the rooftop tiles with a soft thud.
"Haa~" She let out a long breath, like she’d been holding it in for far too long.
