Chapter 13: I Finally Saw Zachary Again
Unable to meet Zachary, every day was a torture of Yvonne.
Whenever she went to school, she was followed and protected. And it was the same when she went shopping.
It was said to be a way to protect her. In fact, they were actually watching her! Every time Yvonne wanted to get in contact with Zachary, she could only call him.
"Where is the stuff I asked you to prepare the last time? Why hasn’t it been sent here yet?"
"I’ll give it to you myself in a few days."
On the phone, Zachary’s voice sounded very confident, as if everything was under his control.
Yvonne did not believe him. "My father doesn’t let me go out to see you at all. How can you give it to me on your own?" Thinking of this, she said unhappily, "What did you say to my father? Why did he suddenly stop me from meeting you?"
Only Frank and Zachary knew about the specific details of the conversation on that afternoon.
However, Zachary did not intend to tell Yvonne the truth. He did not want her to get involved in the feud between him and Frank.
He just said lightly, "Your father is just worried about you."
"Why?"
