Chapter 5: Quitting School
Whatever you’re given, you pay for it. What Sarah Mooney meant was that Zoila Mooney’s gift, though not expensive, was made by herself. While Yvonne was just fishing for fame with her family’s money.
Yvonne rolled her eyes secretly and said, "Ms. Mooney, you’re right. It’s not easy for Dad to make money. So I bought this tie with my own money!"
Sarah laughed and answered back sarcastically, "It doesn’t matter whether it’s your living expenses or lucky money. To put it bluntly, it’s also the money that your father earned through hard work."
"Well, what I mean is that I earned this tie myself."
"This... how is this possible?" A sharp-eyed guest questioned, "the tie of this brand costs at least tens of thousands. A custom-made tie like this must be even more expensive. Miss Taylor... She’s still a college student. How did she manage to do it?"
Yvonne smiled confidently.
In her previous life, she had been framed by Sarah and cut off all ties with her father.
When she ran away from home at that time, she didn’t have much living expenses.
To try her luck, she bought a lottery ticket.
The result was expected. She, who had always been unlucky in her previous life, certainly did not win the prize in the end, but the numbers of winning 500,000 was deeply imprinted in her mind at that time. So she bought the lottery today, and there was no doubt that she won the prize.
Although she didn’t make much effort to get the first bucket of gold, Yvonne had already made up her mind that in this life, she would be able to create her own world.
