Trapped In A Marriage I Never Wanted

Chapter 87: Will We Fight Again?

Finally, for the first time, Matthias mustered the courage to yell at his best friend face to face. Although he had already yelled at his friend over the phone, he still wasn’t satisfied. After witnessing Amber’s outrageous behavior in person, he finally began to realize there was an ulterior motive behind Amber’s sweet demeanor. Every time Amber acted sweet to him when he was with his wife, their relationship would inevitably be strained. Matthias could already tell his wife was crying alone in their house.

"Matthias, why are you talking like that? What did I do to you that made you so angry?"

"The main mistake you made with me was that you were so selfish."

Amber furrowed her eyebrows. "What?"

"I’ve misjudged you all this time. I thought you were the friendliest woman I’d met since we became friends in America. But beneath that friendly exterior, you’ve always been selfish when I wanted to do things my own way."

"I’ve never been selfish to you." Amber patted his chest with a little force. "I’ve done so much to make you happy. Why don’t you ever appreciate all my hard work?"

"I can only appreciate your hard work as my friend, not as my lover. Now I want to go home with Sawyer so we can talk to him at the bar, but you’re in the way! Sawyer needs someone to talk to because he’s having problems!"

"Matthias, I’m sorry. I don’t know if you want to meet up with Sawyer."

Matthias looked away, gripping the doorknob. "Let me down now. I don’t want to go home with you!"

"I don’t want to let you go. Please, Matthias, stay with me."

"If you act selfish again, I will never consider you as a friend! You have to think about this carefully. This is my warning as your friend."

Amber could only sigh in resignation, crossing her legs haughtily. "Lena, stop at the side of the road. Let Matthias go home with his friend."
