Chapter 81: Commercial Shoot
Amber was furious because it was the first time her best friend had treated her so coldly. Previously, when her best friend was busy, she would always make time to chat with her. Now, her best friend was clearly rejecting her, claiming she was in a meeting. Even though it was already nighttime here, and the time difference between the country her friend was visiting and this one was quite significant, Amber shouldn’t have minded it. She should be the one resting, having worked herself to the bone today.
She couldn’t contain her curiosity any longer. She had previously asked her assistant to investigate Matthias’s whereabouts, leaving her without warning. She bit her lip as she contacted her assistant.
"Do you know where Matthias went?"
"I heard he went to Guam. I asked one of my acquaintances who works at T&H Real Estate."
"What?! Why did he go there?"
"I don’t know the details. But, it seems like he’s on vacation."
Remembering the country she’d discussed with Chris, Amber screamed and threw her phone on the bed. She became even more frantic at the thought of Matthias secretly vacationing with Victoria. She remembered that Chris’s company’s latest product commercial was being filmed in Guam. She was certain Matthias was traveling there solely to see Victoria.
"Matthias is truly shameless! I’ve given him so much, yet he’s secretly stabbed me in the back!"
"So, are you going to follow him to Guam?"
"No. I can’t go after him because it would seem like I’m forcing him. Besides, I’ve been busy lately."
