Chapter 54: Angry Ex-Fiancé
Victoria widened her eyes at the figure of her ex-fiancé who suddenly came to her even though she didn’t call him. She immediately suspected the perpetrator was Jennifer who deliberately invited Ansel to lunch together.
Remembering the incident at the pool, Victoria did not dare to raise her head openly. Because she was confused about what to say to her ex-fiancé. If she were Ansel, she would be even more hurt if she kept remembering the forbidden scene. Moreover, she invited Ansel to provoke Matthias, but the result was the opposite.
"Were you the one who called Ansel, Jennifer?"
"Yes, I called him. Why?" Jennifer replied innocently.
"But, I don’t want to bother Ansel."
Ansel’s eyebrows raised. "Do you not want to bother me or are you still awkward with me?"
Hearing Ansel’s unusual tone of voice made Jennifer even more awkward. She grabbed her sling bag in a hurry because she suspected something had happened to the couple.
"By the way, I have some work to do. You guys should just continue your conversation."
"Jennifer, aren’t we–"
Before she could finish her sentence, Jennifer immediately walked quickly out of the restaurant. Meanwhile, now only she and her ex-fiancé were left. The atmosphere was getting more awkward because she was still afraid to face her ex-fiancé. She had betrayed her own ex-fiancé openly, would her ex-fiancé forgive her? Especially if her ex-fiancé saw her taking a shower with another man, she was sure that their relationship was now beyond help.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ansel asked coldly.
