Revenge After Rebirth: Fated To The Triplets I Hate

Chapter 12: To Prove Your Love For Me? I Want You To Eat From The Trash Bin

Iris’s POV

Trying to push the thoughts off my head, I decided to leave my room to head to Amelia’s room. I hadn’t seen her since I returned into my room as I wondered if she was busy. I was walking through the quiet corridors as I got to the corner, about to turn left to head to Amelia’s room but suddenly, a force cornered me, and my back slammed against the cold, rough wall of the corridor. It was Zane.

My eyes, against my will, were drawn to Zane, as they always seemed to be. He stood with that familiar, almost languid confidence right in front of me with a predatory gleam in his eyes. It was a look that always seemed to say he knew something you didn’t, and whatever it was, it was probably to your detriment.

He’s wearing a black leather jacket, the kind that looked expensive and by the looks, they were expensive and black leather jacket was always his favorite. It hung open, revealing a glimpse of his bare chest, a small detail that somehow made him seem even more dangerous, more untamed. Around his neck, was a simple, dark necklace with a single, unadorned pendant rested against his skin as usual, he never takes it off, a subtle piece that only added to his enigmatic aura. Though it wasn’t flashy.

His dark short hair, framed the side of his face which made him undeniably handsome, almost achingly so, but it was a beauty that held a chilling edge. Those sharp cheekbones, the defined jawline and his pink soft lips. Though I didn’t know how soft they felt. I had never kissed them. Then the eyes, though, were what truly held me. They were dark and emotionlessly dark, fathomless pools that seemed to absorb all light and emotion, leaving behind only a cold, calculating intensity.

His eyes, as always, were devoid of emotion, and his cold glare alone was enough to send a shiver down my spine, making the hairs on my skin prickle with an unsettling awareness.

Just then, he broke the silence.

"You’ve become so brave," he began, his voice a low, dangerous growl that vibrated through my very bones as he closed the space between us while I attempted to take a step back but to my disappointment, I remembered my back was against the wall and there was no way out.

"Committing crimes and letting someone else get punished for it." He added.
