Chapter 281: Shameful News
A lot has happened in the past four weeks.
Milan recovered and returned home a few days ago. For her safety, Abigail offered her a place to stay on the fifth floor of the CMD Building.
Since the kidnapping incident, Sawyer has stationed some of his staff and security personnel in the CMD Building as the all-around-the-clock guard. They have set up the first and second floors as their base.
Abigail’s pregnancy is progressing well; she no longer experiences morning sickness. Her company is running smoothly, and she has several capable staff members assisting her, some of whom are her subordinates from Urbangrid Innovation.
She recently received some good news: Vanessa and Betty have been sentenced, and Ryland is now under police investigation for drug-related charges and fraud.
Sawyer and she have been spending much quality time at their house lately. As spring approaches, the weather is starting to warm up. They have many plans they want to pursue, including visiting their cabin in the woods and traveling before Abigail gives birth.
Just when Abigail thought her life was calm and free from threats from her troublesome family, one piece of news made her anxious again. This time, however, the source of her concern came from Sawyer.

Her heart raced as she read the article’s details; the piece even included Hannah’s full name as a homewrecker and a recent picture of Sawyer.
"Why is this news appearing on the internet? This is a huge secret of the Jones family. They have worked hard to keep it from outsiders, and it shouldn’t have been leaked!"
