Chapter 192: Unhappy
Abigail shook her head and smiled, not wanting him to know how disappointed she was, but she couldn’t completely hide her sadness. Sawyer could already see it in her eyes.
"Abby, don’t worry. We’re still getting married tomorrow at this house." Sawyer briefly paused as he noticed Abigail’s previously worried expression begin to brighten.
His lips curled into a smile as he continued, "I’ve arranged everything, and my team has prepared the backyard garden for our big day."
"We’re going to sign our papers here, in this house?" She was surprised that Sawyer chose this location for their wedding, realizing it meant he would expose his current residence location to his family.
"Yes. This house holds many beautiful memories, and I want our wedding to be held here," Sawyer explained, smiling as he lifted his hand to touch her cheek.
Seeing her cheeks turn pink, he continued, "After we sign the papers, we’ll have a lunch party in the outdoor garden with our close family and friends. I hope you don’t mind having our wedding in this place."
Abigail hurriedly shook her head. "No. No... Of course, I don’t mind. I agree with you. This place holds so many good memories for us."
"I’m glad to hear that, Abby."
Sawyer took a deep breath, leaned back on the sofa, and stared at the ceiling. He appeared lost in thought, his expression shifting to one of sadness.
