Chapter 148: Sawyer’s A Bit Much Concern
"Hi, sister-in-law, glad to see you again..."
Aaron Hart greeted Abigail with a broad smile as he entered her bedroom on the rooftop. He was still amazed to learn that Sawyer and Abigail lived in the same house. Interestingly, Paul, Sawyer’s butler, had warned him not to tell anyone about this because it was a secret. Even visiting Sawyer’s new house was considered confidential.
Abigail smiled back at Aaron, though her smile didn’t reach her eyes. She was still irritated that Sawyer had called his private doctor again to check her condition.
She was sure she was okay, having only a slight fever and sore throat. Despite her attempts to stop him from calling the doctor, Sawyer insisted.
"Nice to meet you too, Dr. Aaron," Abigail replied.
"Sawyer, may I begin my examination?" Aaron asked, glancing at Sawyer across the bed, looking gloomy on the edge of the bed.
Sawyer gently held Abigail’s hand and noticed how hot it felt. The warmth concerned him, and he worried about her health. He began to suspect that she might have a cold and a fever, likely due to the stress of what had happened to her at the café.
"Hmmm... please, make sure her fever goes down quickly!" Sawyer said, looking at Aaron.
Aaron approached Abigail, who was lying in bed. He sat nervously at the edge of the bed, examining her and asking her a few basic questions. After a few minutes of checking her pulse, temperature, and breath, his relieved smile gradually appeared.
