Chapter 140: Talk To Sawyer’s Mother
"Oh, my dear son..." Hannah suddenly appeared on the screen. "Why didn’t you show us Abigail while we talked on this video call? Can we meet her now? She’s still there, right!?"
Abigail grew increasingly tense beside Sawyer, squeezing his hand tightly to signal him not to point his phone camera at her. She felt shy about appearing before his parents now.
"Of course, she was there. My father said they were still upstairs in Sawyer’s bedroom..." Walter Jones said to his wife.
Abigail was speechless.
Sawyer was still unable to express his surprise at hearing his grandfather mention Abigail to his father.
’Tsk! Grandpa!!’ He vents his frustration in his mind.
Sawyer couldn’t avoid it now. He slowly pointed his cellphone camera at Abigail and gently patted her hand to ease her nerves.
Abigail stiffly smiled at the camera, looking at Hannah, although her heart was about to explode. She was stunned when she saw a beautiful woman who looked strikingly similar to a photo she’d seen earlier.
She also saw a man beside Hannah who looked a lot like Sawyer. She often saw his face in business magazines or on the news. However, his resemblance to Sawyer only became apparent when he looked relaxed and casual, like now.
"H-Hello... Mr. Jones, Mrs. Jones..." Abigail greeted them shyly.
"Oh my God, Abigail. You are gorgeous, so pretty... No wonder Sawyer adores you so much," Hannah’s eyes beamed as she noticed the young woman sitting beside her son.
