Chapter 95: Meet Kian For The First Time
At Crimson Leaf Café.
The first thing that caught Abigail’s attention when she entered the café was a man standing behind the counter next to Lana. She looked extremely cheerful while making coffee beside him. Her eyes beamed at him with adoration.
The man was not tall but not short either; Lana’s head only reached his jaw. He had tan skin and a long fringe hairstyle. His black-framed glasses made him look stylish and younger despite being older than Lana.
’Is that Kian? He must be—’ Abigail muttered as she walked toward the back door to the staff lounge. But before she passed the counter, Lana saw her and called her to come behind the counter.
"Abigail! You came early. Come here..." Lana couldn’t hide her excitement as she watched Abigail walk toward her. "Girl, let me introduce you to Kian. He is our old Barista. In fact, he was my café’s first Barista." She pointed at Kian behind her without looking at him.
"Kian, this is my friend and our colleague Abigail. Remember what I told you about her? Here she is," Lana said, glancing over her shoulder.
Abigail looked at Kian with a faint smile as she accepted his outstretched handshake.
"Hello, Kian. I’m glad to finally meet you. Lana mentioned you so many times before, I lost count," she said, trying to be polite with her joke despite feeling that this man’s aura was strange.
"Hahaha, did she? Well, Nice to meet you, Abigail. You look exactly like what Lana described," he replied, firmly holding Abigail’s warm hand.
"Really? What did she say about me?" Abigail asked, glancing momentarily at Lana and narrowing her eyes as if trying to read her mind.
