Chapter 88: You Are The Only Woman I Ever Asked To Marry
Abigail couldn’t agree more; she was hungry but lacked the energy to prepare a meal at home. Earlier, she had planned to eat whatever food was in her fridge, bathe, and then sleep.
But now, with Sawyer here, her plans have changed.
Her exhaustion slowly faded, making it difficult for her to refuse his invitation to dinner at a restaurant. The idea of eating out sounded fancy to her—something she hadn’t done in the past few months while she was still with Ryland.
In the months leading up to their breakup, they mainly dined at home, or Ryland would be out late, only returning in the middle of the night. During that time, she suspected he had started cheating on her, possibly seeing her slutty sister outside.
"Okay, but I’m clueless about the good and nice restaurants around this area," Abigail responded honestly. Despite living in the capital for a few years, she didn’t have the chance to explore the local dining scene in this area.
Hearing her answer, Sawyer smiled; instantly, he felt in a good mood. He immediately started the car engine and drove out of the parking area.
"But Sawyer, I’m not sure the restaurants are open now. It’s past nine..." She hesitated, worried about suggesting they eat at a street stall.
"I know a quiet, nice place that’s still open. While I waited for you earlier, I made a reservation there, so we can go now," he replied confidently.
Abigail said nothing but nodded in agreement. Then, she turned to see him as the car headed toward Main Street, opposite the road leading to her house.
