Marvel: My Eyes Defies Fate.

Chapter 336 - 336: 336: The Deal with Thanos

Deep within the cold void of space, above the massive dreadnought known as the Sanctuary II, a figure descended before the Mad Titan himself. The Supergiant bowed respectfully, dragging another presence forward—a familiar one.

"Odin's second son… Loki," Thanos rumbled from his throne, his eyes glinting with dark amusement. "The god of lies and deceit. That title, it seems, isn't undeserved. Perhaps I've underestimated you."

He leaned forward slightly, massive fingers steepled beneath his chin. Thanos had sent the Supergiant to find Loki, intending to use him for a purpose of his own. But what he hadn't expected was for Loki to escape Asgard's prison on his own—and come to him voluntarily.

Loki smiled faintly, his emerald eyes gleaming with mischief. "I've been underestimated all my life. It's hardly new. Standing beside my brother, Thor—the shining son of Odin—I was always cast in shadow."

His tone was steady, proud, and utterly devoid of fear, even before the cosmic tyrant himself.

Thanos studied him for a moment, intrigued. "Then tell me… what do you want?"

Loki's smirk widened. "Word travels fast, even beyond the Nine Realms. I heard your forces faced… difficulties on Earth—the 'Midgardians,' as you call them."

Thanos's expression hardened. "I have no interest in idle talk. Speak your purpose."

"Very well," Loki replied smoothly. "I want your support. Give me the means, and I'll conquer Earth in your name."

The Titan's crimson eyes glowed faintly. The idea entertained him. Thor had returned to Earth recently; Asgard's attention was drawn there. Perhaps it was time to see what the trickster could accomplish.

"Interesting," Thanos murmured. "I'll grant you an army—on one condition. You must open a portal on Earth large enough for them to pass through. Do that, and the invasion will begin."

Loki's expression didn't waver. "And before that? What assistance will you provide me now?"

He knew better than to take Thanos's words at face value. Promises meant nothing until backed by power.

Thanos reclined slightly, considering. "I'll give you a weapon—a scepter powered by the Mind Stone. It can dominate the weak and bend wills to yours. It will also serve as the key to open the portal for my forces."

At that, the Supergiant's expression faltered. She knew the danger of handing such an artifact to someone like Loki. She hesitated, opening her mouth to protest—but Thanos's piercing gaze silenced her instantly.

"This," Loki said with a wicked grin, "is exactly what I need."

His fingers curled around the levitating scepter as it drifted toward him. Blue light pulsed within the gem embedded in its tip, reflecting across his sharp, eager smile. Now he had the weapon—and the power—to take revenge.

Because behind his confident smirk, Loki's thoughts burned with fury. A figure flashed in his mind—a man with twin-colored eyes. Kurogai Alexander Blackwood.

He hadn't forgotten the humiliation, the pain he suffered at that man's hands. Proving himself to Odin and Thor was only part of his motive. This time, Loki would make Kurogai pay.

"Take the scepter," Thanos said. "Go to the Chitauri. Their leader will grant you command of their army. Supergiant, escort him."

"As you command," Supergiant replied, bowing deeply before leading Loki away to fulfill Thanos's will.

Hours later, the Supergiant returned to the throne room. "Lord Thanos," she said, kneeling. "According to your orders, the Chitauri have pledged their support. Loki has already set course for Earth. But…" She hesitated.

"Speak," Thanos ordered, his voice low but sharp.

"Your Majesty… you said others are also seeking the Infinity Stones. Are you not concerned that giving the Mind Stone to Loki might draw their attention—or worse, lead it to fall into enemy hands?"

Thanos's lips curved into a faint smile. His eyes burned with silent calculation.

"I'm aware of the risks," he said calmly. "But let them come. Every fool who reaches for power reveals themselves in the end. I have… plans in motion."

His voice rumbled through the vast chamber like distant thunder. Somewhere far away, destiny began to turn.
