Fairy Tail: Jinchuriki

While Lucy and co are researching E.N.D Book, Alex also gathers information about Alvarez. He asks for Mest's help after the guy finally returns to Fairy Tail. Mest is good at gathering information with all his experience in the Magic Council.

It doesn't take long for Mest to find out that Alvarez still plans to attack Ishgar to capture Lumen Histoire. The reason? Because they see Alex, who has defeated Acnologia as the next threat after the Black Dragon.

"Sounds like they are just making excuses to me." Alex frowns when Mest reports it to him.

"I thought so too. But after gathering more information, most of their politicians sure are worried that you will attack them because they've attacked Ishgar a few times. Even Zeref is also worried you will attack them because both of you have some enmity. He knows you aren't the type to just attack a nation just because you hate their Emperor, but he also knows you won't just ignore him. They already found out what you said in the council, about Acnologia's appearance being related to Zeref. So they know you are targeting them and will seek revenge for all the damage Acnologia caused. Because Acnologia is dead, they know you will target Zeref who you believe to be the cause of Acnologia's appearance."

"I see, so they are worried because of their past actions."

"Yeah, especially the Spriggan. They worship Zeref so much that they put you on their target list for a long time because you have been destroying their pawns here relentlessly."

What Mest means are the Dark Guilds that worship Zeref. They weren't just cults, but also information gatherers, spies that Alvarez utilized. Because Alex destroyed a lot of them, their information gathering was disrupted, so he has become their enemy for a long time.

Now that he shows enough power to defeat Acnologia, they become worried. Zeref himself testified Alex's strength to surpass anyone in Alvarez. He even said that if Alex decided to attack Alvarez, then the Empire might be destroyed.

That obviously puts Alex at the same threat level as Acnologia. Even though Alex needed others' help to defeat Acnologia, they were simply supplying him with magic power. His attack and defense power are on par with Acnologia.

Besides, Zeref noted that Alex's base amount of magic power doesn't lose to Acnologia. He simply couldn't absorb magic power as freely as Acnologia. Against Alvarez, Zeref predicts that even Alex's base amount of magic power will be enough to face all 12 Spriggan and himself.

The Spriggan fully believes in their Emperor's words, so they become very wary of Alex. Then they heard that Ishgar was assuming that Zeref was the cause of Acnologia's appearances that killed God Serena and destroyed a big piece of their land.

When they heard that Alex was the one who theorized it, they became even more alerted. Alex already has a strong enmity with Zeref, so there's a high chance Alex will attack Alvarez and utilize Ishgar for it because he has incited the Magic Council to attack Alvarez if needed.

Alex smirks knowing them panicking because of their own actions. If they never attacked Ishgar, then they wouldn't need to worry Ishgar would be hostile to them and even consider attacking them for revenge.

Well, they aren't really panicking though because they know Alex is still not as dangerous as Acnologia. It will just be a problem if Alex attacks their nation first because then they will suffer damage no matter who wins.

That's why they think of attacking Ishgar first and killing Alex. But to do that, their current power isn't enough. They need Lumen Histoire or Fairy Heart to strengthen Zeref.

Mest says that they will send 2 Spriggan to fight Alex while Zeref steals Fairy Heart. They plan to send August and Irene, 2 strongest Spriggan to stall time for Zeref. The other Spriggan will lead their army to fight other Ishgar Mages.

"Do you know when they are planning to attack?" Alex needs to know how long their preparations can be.

"In half a year, that's Zeref's deadline for their preparations."

"What?! It's September now, so March?" Alex didn't think it would be that fast.

"Most likely yeah."

"I see. Alright, you continue to monitor them while I hasten our preparations. I will inform the Council and the other Wizard Saints carefully so the enemies won't realize that we know about their plan."

Mest nods at Alex's order before preparing to continue his spying mission again. Alex also calls the Wizard Saints he trusts and the Council's high rank officials to inform them about Mest's findings. He tells them to keep this information a secret and even threaten them that if the enemy finds out about this, he will beat them up because it means they leak this info.

After that, he asks Lucy's group to hasten their research on E.N.D Book so he can fight Zeref anytime without any worry. They already find the part that connects Natsu's life with Zeref, so now they are looking for any other problems.

Alex nods and leaves to make other preparations, like increasing his magic power capacity. Even though he only has a few months to increase it, he is still confident he can increase his capacity a lot, especially now that he is in the process of absorbing Acnologia's corpse's remaining power.

After defeating Acnologia, Alex sealed that Black Dragon's corpse in his body. The Tailed Beasts are currently absorbing all of Acnologia's remaining power.

They have absorbed God Serena's Dragon Lacrimas, so they already know the power of Dragons and absorbing Acnologia's remaining power becomes easier now.

It will still take time because Acnologia has a lot more power than God Serena's 8 Dragon Lacrimas. They also need to make sure it won't burden Alex's body, so they need to absorb it slowly while his body adapts to the increase in power.

6 months should be enough time to fully absorb Acnologia's power. That's why Alex is confident he can face Alvarez before they can attack Ishgar. Even if he hasn't fully absorbed Acnologia's remaining power, he will still become more powerful than now.

Not only will his own power get stronger, the Tailed Beasts will also get stronger. It will reduce the magic power needed to use their skills, making his magic power usage more efficient, so he can fight longer.

His preparations aren't just about himself, but also his comrades. He focuses on Fairy Tail members, but he also helps Mages from other Guilds to train.

Alex doesn't tell most of them about his plan to attack Alvarez and only helps them train. He doesn't want them to panic and it also reduces the chance of Alvarez knowing that he plans to attack them.

Everything goes as usual. Fairy Tail even holds their yearly S-Class exam at the end of the year. Gajeel passes this year's exam and becomes the new S-Class Mage. It's a good moment for him who will soon be a father.

After the exam, Makarov announces that he is retiring as the Guild Master. Gildarts actually agree to take over the position. Unlike in the series, he didn't freeze for 7 years, so he has lived 7 years longer than in the series.

It's already time for him to settle down, and he feels he almost reached his growth limit. He is already past the age of growing through battles like the younger generations. Refining his skills calmly behind the scene is a great way to grow for most older generations as well.

He also has found out that Cana is his daughter for years, so he realizes it's time for him to settle down. Cana is an adult already too. He doesn't want to miss her wedding like how he missed a lot of her childhood.

Well, he also doesn't want guys to approach her like hyenas. He literally glares menacingly at any boys standing close to Cana. He doesn't want his daughter to fall prey to bad guys when he's not present, even though he himself was a womanizer.

Besides, Fairy Tail now has another Ace, a guardian even stronger than him. So he can leave the difficult jobs to Alex. He has even talked to Alex about the 100 Years Quest, but Alex wants to focus on Alvarez first and he agrees that it's more urgent.

Alex and Gildarts have fought again, not long after Acnologia's defeat. It was a one-sided match. None of Gildarts's attacks worked on Alex. Alex canceled even Gildarts's Crush Magic using his Rinne-Sharingan's absorption ability and he overpowered Gildarts without even transforming.

That was the moment Gildarts realized that he had approached his limit. He is still stronger than other Fairy Tail Mages, but Alex has far surpassed him. The fearsome thing was, he couldn't even sense danger from Alex, showing that their power gap is too big now.

So Gildarts accepts the Guild Master position, but he isn't really a good office worker. So most paper works are done by the staff and the Vice-Guild Master, whose position is actually taken by Levy.

She decides to retire very early as an active Mage because she will soon have a baby, so she won't have time to work in the front line and it's too dangerous. Gajeel also agrees to her decision, that's why he was working very hard to be an S-Class.

But still, the best news soon after that is Lucy's group succeeds in solving all the problems in E.N.D Book. Now Alex can go to kill Zeref without any worries.
