This cannot be happening. This is impossible. This has to be a sensor glitch!
It was fortunate for everyone that Fleet Admiral Hunt’s [Splintered Focus] allowed her to split her trains of thought, one of which she left to spiral in panic as she set the rest of them to work, not having the time to even try to overcome that doubt.
There’d be a price to pay for that later; expanding her mind that much and working for the equivalent of months with every passing hour wasn’t something that would be pleasant to come down from, but also not a risk she gave a single flying fuck about.
Hunt sent threads of thought chasing down every possible reaction to this mess. Namely, sizing up her foe, reassessing her own strength, and simultaneously issuing orders.
