"Let’s go," she said after waiting for a while but not seeing any trace of Huang Bai Xing.
She felt an urge to send Tian Tian, Huan Huan, Zhizhi, and Xiao Nian to keep watch over Huang Donghai and the others, but they firmly objected. "Master, we are your loyal companions and family. Your safety is what truly matters. Why should we abandon you to concern ourselves with others?"
"Besides, with Huang Bai Xing guarding him, Huang Donghai should be safe," they argued. They understood that their stance could be viewed as selfish, but that didn’t matter to them. The thought of their master facing danger alone while they remained behind, unaware of the struggles and sacrifices she had endured, was unacceptable.
Shenlian Yingyue was at a loss for words. She couldn’t force any of them to stay. In the end, she could only ask Xiang Liu for help in protecting Huang Donghai.
Of course, Xiang Liu initially refused with contempt. What did the safety of that human have to do with him?
