Shenlian Yingyue hesitated to tell him the truth, not wanting him to fight with the Demon Emperor and risk injury.
"You’re being bullied!" he exclaimed, his voice cold as ice. "Who is it? Is it that damn cut sleeve man?" His eyes blazed with fury as he thought of her being hurt, and he hugged her tightly.
"I’m sorry, I didn’t protect you," he muttered, his lips yearning to kiss her, but she dodged him slightly.
His eyes dimmed, and dark light flashed, but he suppressed it. He would wait until Yue’er accepted him.
