Chapter 12: Practice The Spiritual Element
To be able to absorb the spiritual elements, one must sit cross-legged, meditate, empty the mind, and concentrate on communicating with the elements in the air.
Thereafter, when the element's spiritual power gathers around, focus on guiding them into the meridians.
According to nature, there is a Meridian System in every human's body.
The human body has twelve main meridians, or energetic passageways, that pass through the top layer of skin and fascia and through which your qi flows.
Ten of these twelve meridians are associated with a specific organ: the heart, lung, stomach, kidney, large intestine, small intestine, liver, bladder, gallbladder, and spleen are each represented by a meridian. The remaining two are the pericardium meridian, which is linked to emotional and spiritual well-being, and the triple-warmer meridian, which controls metabolism.(1)
Huang Ying Yue sat down cross-legged on the white cotton cushion, put her hands on her legs, closed her eyes, and emptied her mind. Not long after, she saw countless tiny scarlet light balls floating in the dark space.
Then she saw the purple light balls floating around her, gently and domineeringly chasing the scarlet light balls away.
She seemed to feel the scarlet light balls were being aggrieved, but dare not protest, and floated to the far corner of the dark space.
Huang Ying Yue was helpless. If she was not mistaken, the scarlet light ball was the normal fire element, while the purple light ball was the evolved fire, which is stronger and hotter than the normal fire.
She had never heard that the fire could be this spiritual and possessive of its owner. Huang Ying Yue comforted the purple fire gently, as if to tell the fire that no matter how many fires she has, she will always treat the purple fire as her first partner and family, of course, including Xiao Yun.
The purple fireballs seemed to feel her thought; they were happily flying to face the scarlet fireballs as if to show off and warn the scarlet fireballs not to compete with them.
