Chapter 136 --136.
Kaya flinched, glaring at the bird now flapping in front of her nose. "STOP! Stop cripping so damn much, you idiotic crip! You—pig-like sparrow!" she shouted right back, fists clenched.
But the sparrow didn’t care.
"CRIP! CRIP! CRIP!" he screamed even louder, fluttering his tattered wings furiously, pointing at himself, then at his injured leg, then at the wall he was launched into.
Kaya blinked, trying to follow his tiny wing gestures like she was decoding some deranged bird mime act.
"What the hell are you even—Wait—who the hell launched at me, huh?!" she yelled, suddenly furious again. "You! You! Freaking... idiotic piece of bird!"
The sparrow’s feathers puffed up like a ball of fury.
"Do you even realize you almost broke my ribs flying into me like that?!" Kaya shouted, pointing at her chest. "Do you think this body is made of steel, huh?!"
"CRIP!" he shouted defiantly, hopping in place like he was challenging her to a duel.
The two just stood there—woman and sparrow—yelling at each other like an old married couple, while the rest of the group stood frozen behind them, eyes wide, trying to understand.
Suddenly, a soft voice came from behind.
"Um... are you okay?"
Kaya, still catching her breath, turned around sharply. The sparrow did the same. For once, they moved in perfect sync—heads snapping to the side like a duo act.
