Chapter 68 --68
Something about this forest... or maybe, someone.
She glanced down and saw the small, sleeping rabbit nestled beside her chest, breathing softly in his dreams.
Her lips curled slightly.
Kaya looked down at the rabbit nestled against her side.
He was... not cute. Not by anyone’s standards.
This wasn’t the pristine, pampered kind of bunny people kept in cozy homes—soft, white, and angelic. No. This one looked like he’d been rolled in dirt, dragged through a muddy battlefield, and then forgotten under the sun. His ears were uneven, his teeth slightly crooked, and his fur—if you could call it that—was more of a patchy, weathered coat than anything soft.
And yet...
She couldn’t help but smile.
"Why do I still find you adorable, huh?" she murmured, her fingers brushing gently over his rough little head.
(Well, of course, let’s not forget—Kaya’s taste was... questionable at best. This is the same woman who bullied a sparrow just because he wasn’t "cute" enough, and now thought a half-feral rabbit was adorable. What kind of woman does that? Exactly.)
She chuckled to herself, eyes turning lazily—only for her gaze to land on a familiar, feathery form sleeping peacefully beside her.
