Micah stood frozen, rooted to the spot in the middle of the bustling university main gate. All the noises faded into a soft buzz as he stared up in a daze.
A tall young man, board-shouldered, lean, and towering at 190 cm, brushed past him, and Micah accidentally bumped into his shoulder.
The stranger turned slightly, casting a glance downward.
Their eyes didn’t meet.
Micah mumbled an apology absentmindedly.
Instead, the tall man’s gaze lingered on Micah, his brow furrowed in mild curiosity.
The boy had silver-white hair and delicate, porcelain-like skin. He wore a pair of sleek black glasses, their clean frame highlighted the paleness of his skin and the light freckles across the bridge of his nose.
The boy was staring straight ahead. He didn’t even glance at him.
He found it fascinating. He had never been overlooked like that before.
The man had glossy hazelnut hair, lush and wavy, and his eyes, green with specks of amber, were framed by long lashes. His jawline was clean-cut, sharp enough to draw blood. His immense height, extraordinary handsomeness, and the way he carried himself made him the focus of others wherever he went.
But this boy was staring at something else. The man tilted his head slightly as though trying to get a better look beyond the boy’s shoulder. He followed his gaze, but before he could see what or who was so fascinating for the boy to ignore him, his friend called him.
