Chapter 44: Family Drama, Served Sunny Side Up
The warm scent of toasted bread, fried eggs, and crispy bacon filled the kitchen as sunlight poured through the tall windows of the Ramsy estate. Micah sat on the long marble counter, dressed in a grey t-shirt and baggy shorts, quietly eating the breakfast his mother had lovingly prepared.
It was Sunday, a family day in the Ramsy household, and by tradition, most of the staff and the live-in nanny were given the day off, leaving the kitchen unusually quiet and intimate.

The sound of footsteps echoed across the hallway, and a moment later, Jacob Ramsy stepped into the kitchen, buttoning up the cuff of his shirt with one hand and holding his half-finished coffee in the other. He looked up, noticing the harmony between mother and son, and paused.
Behind him, Willow and Aria too halted in their tracks.
Jacob blinked, amused. "Well, now this is rare. I thought it would take at least a month for you two to patch things up!"
"What are you implying? Hum?" Elina arched an eyebrow.
"Nothing at all, honey. You know how stubborn Micah can be." Jacob said, leaning to kiss Elina’s cheek.
They all knew exactly who in the family could hold a grudge against others, the word ’readily forgive’ was nonexistent in her book.
Micah scoffed, unable to hold back.
