Chapter 8: The two could see the dread in each other’s eyes…
Micah ran a hand through his wet face, frustrated by his lack of composure earlier. He felt simply weak, unable to face those male leads head-on.
He needed to get leverage on them through some underhanded methods.
He sighed and wrapped the bandages clumsily on his head. Taking one last look at his pale face, he turned and headed back to his bed.
He reached for his phone, realising the battery was still dead. He looked at Aria, who was busy typing something on her phone.
"Second sister, do you have my charger?"
Aria tossed him a casual glance before rummaging through a small bag.
"Yeah, Mum and I brought some clothes and necessities for you."
She pulled out the charger and handed it over, her brow furrowing as she touched Micah’s cold fingers.
"Thanks."
Micah mumbled, plugging in his phone.
As the screen blinked to life, the wheels in his mind began to turn. Seeing Silas here triggered a thought.
