The sudden turn of events truly left the Empire’s forces and Spade at a loss. For a moment, everyone questioned themselves if what was happening was real.
It started with a video that immediately trended on the internet. Armed forces shattered the silence of the night; they began to seize homes as they all forced every abled man across ages and captured them. It was even more so for the alphas.
These gained the anger of the relatives and the scared citizens, but what could they do? The armed forces still captured these men. Soon, news of them being sighted on the frontlines had given everyone a chill and frightened the empire and the world.
It was because these men, while still equipped with weapons, were all berserk and not sane as they rampaged on the battlefield, making it harder for Empire forces to get through and attack them. Just by looking at them, it was obvious they were all civilians.
At some point, even women were thrown into the pit that was a man-made hell by the organization.
No one anticipated this. At the start of the war, although disputes and skirmishes along the borders happened from time to time, it was never pointed out that they would be on a large scale. This was all because of the citizens inside, which made them hesitate.
Also, the organization has never done anything for the citizens yet. At least the civilians inside still continued to live normally despite the tense atmosphere. Although there were really travel restrictions from the blockade of the domain and the curfew, the Marquis didn’t harm civilians too much aside from those participating in the riots.
And now, they seemed to be stripping away all cordialities, making the civilians their cannon fodder, and using them to delay the Empire’s forces.
Just earlier, large-scale riots had also been reported inside, and the tension across the borders and the domains intensified at once. Not only that but there were also increasing protests by civilians and organizations outside, which they suspected would garner even more participants in the coming days.
