Chapter 228: Wins and Losses (1)
The first battle against the organization was happening outside of the capital, but you could still feel the tension all the way here. As Levin observed outside as they passed by the places where it was usually crowded, he immediately noticed that there were fewer people outside.
Some were only those employees or students who were in a rush to go home, but the establishments were all forced to close early. This became apparent as they passed by the usually busy metro where most shopping malls and restaurants were located, which was crowded until midnight but had now become almost like a ghost town.
They easily passed through without any of the usual traffic. Levin sighed, as he knew things would get worse from here on.
One thing that helped them in the empty crowd was that they could move much easier and monitor the place from the traces of his parents. Yet, even with that, he knew it would still be hard to look for them, as his father most definitely had the means to erase their trails, or he might also confuse Levin and the forces looking for him.
"Plaza Hotel, a report came from Plaza Hotel." A report sounded in his ears.
Levin was immediately pulled out of his thoughts as his mind focused, and he wore a serious expression.
"Go to the Plaza Hotel," he instructed the driver before he responded to the report. "Give me further details."
"Yes, Chief. An employee of the hotel reported how a few suspicious people checked in, ordering inexplicable demands while not giving proper documents."
Levin’s brow lifted, as he frowned. No, it seemed like a dead give-away if it was indeed his parents. His father wouldn’t make a mistake like that, and he deliberately made his location obvious. As the capital was on high alert from Spade’s statement and the fight that was happening on the domains, the citizens would definitely report suspicious people that they came across.
Sure enough, as they were on their way to the Plaza Hotel, another report came in.
"Chief, some reports also came from another hotel."
