Chapter 197: A Day With Arren and Rave (3)
Arren was truly mesmerized by Rave’s genuine smile, which he had never seen before. For sure, he knew that the omega also liked to be with him, even though he made a face each time Arren clung to him.
However, he had never truly seen him smile like that before. He saw some rare expressions on Rave, such as when he cried and never let go of Mr. Ivo when they met for the first time in years.
That time, it was more of him crying out his emotions, longing, and even exhaustion after all these years. This time, a genuine smile for something he experienced for the first time.
He stared at Rave’s face for a moment before a genuine smile also appeared on his face, his eyes shining as he thought they both shared the same feeling.
"Thank you for coming with me, Rave." He spoke gently, devoid of his usual teasing tone or unserious sarcasm that he often used on Rave.
And for that brief moment, as they stared at each other, they tore off their pretense of regarding one another as enemies and revealed how they truly treated each other from deep within.
They talked inside the room for about half an hour before the two decided to go and continue on their way. The time was limited after all, as Arren was determined to go home by sunset.
With hooked arms, Arren and Rave left the room, both wore their masks again. They were talking at each other while walking since Arren was whispering some stories he had when he visited the restaurant last time when he was interrupted as someone blocked their path.
Arren’s mouth, which was hidden by his mask, was still parted as he stopped talking, lifted his head, and looked in front of him to see who blocked them. However, his brows had already knitted, and he frowned as he had a clue as to what this fellow wanted from blocking them.
Sure enough, after raising his head and seeing their malicious expressions while they looked at the two of them, these fellows would harass them.
Arren’s eyes stared and roamed at the fellows that were in front of them. There were three men who were obviously alphas, but the one in the center seemed to be the leader, not because he was a dominant alpha but because his status was probably higher than the other two.
