Chapter 177: Culprit
Only hearing his laughter, Arren also smiled, "Now, did my answer satisfy you, Your Majesty?"
Arren always went formal and called Spade by his title whenever he teased Spade. They became used to it, and it almost became their inside joke.
Spade nodded his head, smiling, "Mm, more than satisfied."
As he was looking outside, the road outside was already familiar, and he knew that they were about to arrive at their destination. His smile faded a bit, and there was a bit of darkness within the calmness of his amber eyes.
Arren fell silent. With their deeper connection, the omega could now sense his mood even if they were not seeing each other’s faces. Of course, Spade already noticed the shift in their atmosphere.
He brought their topic back to the reason he called in the first place. Although, it was disappointing to ruin the good atmosphere.
"It’s finished, and I’m on my way there." Spade vaguely mentioned it and updated Arren on what was going on. The reason it was vague was that they wanted to be as careful as possible.
The chip was sensitive and classified information after all. Spade, however, didn’t really hide these things from Arren from the start.
