Chapter 88: New Year
As the kiss ended after a few minutes, since Arren had become breathless, Spade would pull away for some time before claiming his lips again for another deep and devouring kiss. It happened—he didn’t know how many times—and Arren wasn’t bothered to count.
It was by far their longest and most fiery kiss, and it seemed even Arren had the thought that his lips were a bit swollen from being sucked and bit by the alpha; he lowered his gaze and glanced at Spade’s lips. The light was dim, so he couldn’t clearly tell, but he knew they had the same situation.
Arren panted and didn’t mind how he needed to breathe heavily after the kiss and noticed how their bodies were pressed even more against each other, and unknowingly, the intense atmosphere made them lightheaded.
Spade stared at him and touched his lower lip while landing a few kisses on his jaw. The shade of his amber eyes appeared darker in the dim light.
"Was that enough to compensate you?" the alpha asked, his voice hoarser from their deep kiss. It gave another shiver to his every being, and Arren almost purred like a kitten with this question.
His eyes were a bit hazy and appeared still affected by their shared kiss from earlier and the few pecks that Spade was giving him. However, he still had enough rationality to respond to the alpha’s obvious teasing.
"But I’m more interested if that is enough for you?" Arren returned a question, and as his voice rang, he intentionally moved his butt from where he was seating on.
As a result, Spade almost growled and held Arren’s waist to prevent him from moving around in his lap.
"Don’t make trouble," he darkly spat out, his eyes flickering with an indescribable desire.
