Chapter 70: Messy Plot (5)
It was actually a great act of courage from Arren to invite Spade to spend his heat with him. However, he wanted to raise the matter himself because he was aware that, between them, he was the one who usually took the initiative or was the one flirting. Not to say that Spade didn’t want to, but Arren knew the alpha respected him so much.
So, if he were the one to invite the other, surely the alpha couldn’t refuse, right? Although Arren wasn’t confident about it.
Spade stared at him; this made him bite his lips, and he suddenly became self-conscious. Why was he not responding to him?
If only Arren knew how his invitation was doing with Spade.
"Are you sure?" after a while the alpha asked, voice slightly hoarse.
Arren nodded his head to show that he was sure about it. He fiddled with his fingers that were on the alpha’s back. Suddenly, he became anxious as he didn’t perceive Spade’s reactions as positive.
"I’m really sure about it," Arren mumbled, almost inaudible then looked at the alpha and couldn’t help but ask, "Why won’t you say anything?" He pursed his lips and stared cautiously at the alpha.
Spade then blinked, as if finally processing that Arren really did invite him to spend his heat with him. He opened his mouth and then closed it again as though it were malfunctioning. It was the first time he was flustered and couldn’t think of anything to say.
And this time, Arren seemed to finally notice what was wrong with Spade. Now he understood that it wasn’t that the alpha wasn’t saying anything but that he didn’t know how to respond to him.
