Chapter 48: Investigation of The Bloody Year
The main problem here was that gene was what determined their pheromones later on. In this world where genes and pheromones were one of the most important aspects of life... his future was grim. His parents soon had a solution after their research, and the side effect was his hair completely turned white and him having a low chance of fertility.
They both smiled at each other. Arren then sipped some tea. While complaining in his mind, this was too awkward for him. He almost cursed out loud, really, Rave was always this gentle, and then no one would know what was really in his mind.
Damn, their personalities contradict each other. Arren was outspoken, and his mood could be seen in his mind. He also didn’t want to plan too much and would only go with the flow. Rave, however, was extremely patient and could conceal his hidden thoughts. He also planned step by step and carefully, something he learned throughout the years. His personality of him that even Levin was helpless.
He loved Rave’s character, though. However, it was really different from when he was reading it than being with him personally. Arren glanced at the side again, smiled, and put down the teacup. He glanced at the door, and he almost cried. Could Spade please hurry up and save him from his misery? The gentle and somewhat introverted Rave was really not his ideal companion in a silent room.
Arren wanted to start a conversation, but he couldn’t. Randomly asking anything would trigger the omega’s suspicious nature, or even something about the palace was a taboo, even more about anything at all, as currently Arren was an important guest and he was a royal attendant. He almost had no way out, so he had no choice but to shut up with silent tears in his eyes.
The silence stretched between them, Rave standing silently at the side. While Arren was eating some snacks, getting bored as he sat. A few minutes later, the door opening broke the silence.
Arren lifted his head almost immediately the door creaked. He looked in the direction of the door, and his eyes which gradually dimmed from boredom instantly brightened up. If he would even exaggerate, Arren would even cry right there and then.
His alpha, the one and only Spade Remmington... was finally fucking here.
Spade’s natural dominant aura was enough to occupy the room even without him spreading his pheromones. Arren almost gaped and only wanted to stare at the alpha; he would always admit that his first crush on Spade was because of his sexy and mature appearance. Arren almost drooled because he was so hot.
