Chapter 5: Chaotic Night (1)
He walked as calmly as before, and he didn't run into the people who were already making their way to the omega ward to assess the situation. An Alpha in the Omega ward was a serious matter, and their hospital's reputation was at stake, so they must take it seriously.
Spade was unconcerned about how his subordinates would handle the situation. He walked calmly until he was outside. He was soon in front of his car, but he didn't get in right away, instead staring at it for a few minutes before deciding to drive away.
His speed was fast, but he had no idea where he was going. The lingering scent of the omega in his car was enough to drive him insane once and for all. He didn't have a choice but to park somewhere, and he chose the side of the road. He went out almost instantly as soon as he stopped driving. He took a deep breath and tried to relax his nerves and emotions.
He leaned against the side of his car and gazed into the distance. It was a cold and quiet night. He wore a simple casual suit tonight because it wasn't an official event. Because of the unexpected situation, he had already forgotten about his appointment. But he was not disappointed, though. It was suddenly unimportant.
He could reschedule everything, but he had the feeling that what happened tonight might never happen again, or that it was entirely coincidental.
He sighed deeply and closed his eyes for a brief moment. His rationality and calmness were gradually returning. He never imagined the day would come when he would completely lose himself. He was so close. Spade knew that if the omega stayed with him for another minute, his inner beast would take over, regardless of the consequences. Fortunately, he managed to hang on. He didn't commit any mistakes.
As his eyes were shut, he could see the image of that omega. It was very vivid in his memory. With the omega's beautiful face and alluring scent, he admits he was infatuated. The omega caught his attention like no one ever could.
When Spade thought he had calmed down, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number. The call was answered immediately. The Emperor's call was always given priority.
"Your Majesty," the other side saluted respectfully.
