Chapter 1512 - 1564: Complete Annihilation
When the terrorist was less than two meters away from Li Yifei, Li Yifei suddenly sprang into action. He lunged forward, grabbing the terrorist’s shoulder with one hand and covering his mouth with the other, pulling the man towards him.
The next second, with a muffled crack, Li Yifei killed the drunken terrorist who had come out to relieve himself, dragging his corpse into a corner. Li Yifei’s assassination operation began.
Although assassinations were a bit tricky, they were almost entirely free of danger. With Li Yifei’s skills, even scaling walls and rooftops was effortless. He jumped onto the roof and flipped to the other side. Under the eaves, two terrorists were smoking, and Li Yifei caught a whiff—it was marijuana.
The two men were grinning wickedly and discussing women, uttering vulgar words, completely unaware that a Grim Reaper was crouching above them.
Li Yifei leaped down, the Grim Reaper descending upon them. In their eyes, only a shadow flashed; in just three to four seconds, both men fell in succession.
After killing the two men, Li Yifei didn’t pause but instead went to find his next target.
A few minutes later, there were already seven terrorists dead at Li Yifei’s hands. He didn’t relax but rather felt like cursing. This was nowhere near thirty terrorists; what he saw and heard was no less than forty or fifty.
Moreover, he heard yelling and cursing from the largest building, seemingly related to Wu Shuwei.
Hearing was one thing, but Li Yifei continued with his plan, killing in sequence.
Passing by a room, Li Yifei smelled a strong odor of decay, a thick stench of death. He peeked through a crack in the door and his face turned grim. Inside were piles of bodies, human corpses. He could faintly distinguish between men and women; most of the male bodies wore clothes, at least pants, while most of the female bodies were naked, their deaths gruesome.
Although these people were not Huaxia People, such appalling acts also made Li Yifei feel very angry.
Fights between countries, between ethnicities, can be understood in terms of casualties. But it’s rare to see an ethnicity that is even more ruthless towards its own people. In certain parts of the Middle East, however, such acts were common. Under the banner of religion, atrocious deeds were committed with impunity.
Seeing these dead bodies, Li Yifei decided to kill all the terrorists here tonight.
Those wandering outside were almost all killed, and further in were those who stayed indoors. The time was around nine to ten at night, when few people were resting.
Li Yifei really wanted to ask these people, using the banner of religious faith is one thing, but is this what your religion teaches you?
Clearly, it is not, but in this world, most religions are creations of the rulers, meant to govern the people—from entire countries to particular sects, and including these religious terrorists.
"Crack..." Li Yifei accidentally stepped on an eggshell, making some noise. He stopped and soon heard a person walking over, asking, "Who is there?"
This was a five-man patrol squad, the largest patrol team here.
One of them heard the noise and came over to check, while the others looked over as well.
As the light approached, there was nothing around Li Yifei to hide him. He crouched low, holding several eggshells in his hand. Just before the light reached him, Li Yifei suddenly hurled the eggshells.
After the whooshing sound, four out of the five men covered their eyes or faces and fell.
The only one who didn’t fall was shielded by another body, not hit by Li Yifei’s eggshells.
In the darkness, a shadow darted out. Li Yifei, holding an Arab scimitar, like the Grim Reaper’s sickle, harvested the lives of these men.
The first blow was at the throat of the one who hadn’t fallen, raising a splash of blood. Li Yifei gently pushed him down and then quickly dispatched the rest according to the direction of the blade.
On the last man, Li Yifei was a half-step slow, and the other fired a shot.
This was already the terrorists’ headquarters, not like when Li Yifei killed those eleven terrorists earlier. Shooting wasn’t a concern then, but here in the camp, firing a shot would alert everyone inside and outside.
Angry, Li Yifei immediately chopped the man down. Venting anger was futile now; several people with guns were already running out from the buildings, causing chaos in the camp.
Li Yifei picked a direction and darted over.
A minute later, someone discovered the bodies. This finding terrified many people, and they immediately started shouting loudly. Li Yifei understood—they were shouting for alertness, that there was an attack, with someone yelling to shoot back, while a few ran towards the largest building to report to those inside.
Since the alarm had been raised, Li Yifei no longer concealed himself. He picked up an AK47, unlocked it, and with a burst of gunfire, bullets rained out.
Instantly, a line of people fell, hit by bullets. The AK47, as the most produced and traded submachine gun in the world, naturally had formidable power. Few shot could remain standing; some were immediately killed by bullets exploding within them, dying in a very short time.
Even if one is shot in the arm or leg, they will lose combat capability.
Those who haven’t been shot won’t understand the destructive power of a bullet. For bullets like those from a machine gun, when shot into the body at close range, the fragile human body and bones cannot stop the bullet’s kinetic energy. Many wounds pierce the body, creating two holes with one shot—unlike in movies where getting shot multiple times doesn’t result in death and there’s still combat capability left.
Of course, someone as abnormal as Li Yifei is an exception.
The massive power of the AK47 helped Li Yifei. After a burst of bullets, more than ten people fell.
These people suffered because they were caught off guard. They rushed out, looking around without knowing what was happening, completely unprepared. Combined with Li Yifei’s unnaturally precise shooting skills, they were out of luck.
While changing magazines, Li Yifei’s body was also moving, quickly appearing on the other side. The terrorists on the opposite side started firing at his previous position, which made Li Yifei chuckle. As they shot with enthusiasm, he fired another burst of bullets.
Immediately several more were shot, while the others were so frightened they ducked down while firing back.
Li Yifei moved around in combat, not allowing the opponents to capture his silhouette and movement trajectory.
In a blink, both guns were out of bullets, and he had taken down over twenty people. This level of combat ability had reached a fierce point, and the enemies didn’t even know how many were attacking them.
They shouted chaotically, and soon, one of the leaders of the Anchor Organization, Ayurhan, stepped out. He was a small Arab who had followed an organization for years, not only gaining theoretical knowledge but also having good military skills. He usually conducted military training within the organization.
Upon learning of the sneak attack, he was actually unconcerned, as he had full confidence in his subordinates’ skills. Moreover, he was busy with a woman they had captured.
Who could have thought, in just a few minutes, someone would inform him that nearly thirty of his subordinates had been killed.
Such casualties, even in official skirmishes, wouldn’t usually reach such numbers, so he was shocked, instinctively thinking that U.S. forces or similar had come to exterminate them.
Upon hearing that the number of attackers was unknown, his first instinct was to flee.
It was only when a subordinate reported that there might only be a few attackers, possibly just one or two, as there was only one gun firing from different positions, did he regain composure.
"Search for him. Whoever kills him will receive a hefty reward!" Ayurhan shouted with a grim face.
After a search yielded nothing and no more gunfire was heard, Ayurhan stepped out.
Surrounded by his subordinates, Ayurhan saw the ground covered with corpses, his eyes filled with rage. These were fighting forces that the organization had spent money to gather. For expansion and growth, they could not rely solely on religious propaganda; it required a significant financial investment to gain followers.
In one fell swoop, he lost more than half of the subordinates he brought, which pained Ayurhan.
So where was Li Yifei? At this moment, he was lying comfortably on the roof of a building, taking a swig of alcohol, followed by a bite of grilled lamb.
The food was delicious and authentic. With two guns by his side, Li Yifei finished consuming a large piece of grilled meat and drank up his liquor before re-entering the battlefield. The rattling sound of bullets fired once again.
The scene became chaotic again, and Ayurhan was utterly terrified. He did not know how many enemies were lurking in the shadows, but this one person was terrifying, wiping out half of his subordinates in no time. This was not a place he wanted to stay a moment longer.
Therefore, Ayurhan hurriedly climbed into a car, with a few bodyguards following him as they attempted to flee.
Seeing their leader flee, the other subordinates lost all will to fight, also seizing vehicles to escape.
Li Yifei had a few grenades in his hand; their explosive power was astonishing. He hurled them towards several vehicles while simultaneously blasting Ayurhan’s vehicle with gunfire.
Unfortunately for Ayurhan, his fuel tank was hit by a bullet, and even more unlucky, the spark from the bullet striking the car ignited the petrol, bursting into flames.
Ayurhan had no choice but to push open the door and jump out of the car.
As he rolled and struggled to stand up, a gun was already pointed at his head.
The gun belonged to Li Yifei, with his other hand still shooting at any moving target, giving an extra shot as needed.
Ayurhan raised his hands, not daring to move, while the remaining small fry fled in panic. Li Yifei didn’t pursue them, as he had already captured a leader of the Anchor Organization, and those small fry weren’t worth chasing.
However, his plan to completely annihilate the enemies fell through, which left him with a slight sense of regret.
