"Bang!" Li Yifei abruptly stopped spinning, releasing his grip, and the python was flung over ten meters away, crashing into a tree before coiling around it a few more times.
With that throw, the python’s joints were completely shattered by Li Yifei’s force. After sliding down to the base of the tree, it struggled for a short moment with its muscles before going completely still.
"Are you okay?" Li Yifei crouched down in front of the Miao Ethnic Group girl and asked softly.
"·#￥#￥" The girl muttered a few sentences, but Li Yifei couldn’t understand a word of it.
It was a dialect of the Miao Ethnic Group, and there were many dialects in Miaojiang. Even if you understood one or two, you wouldn’t necessarily grasp the others, let alone Li Yifei, who hadn’t studied this dialect at all.
Both Li Yifei and the girl fell silent. Li Yifei gave a slight smile and pointed to the girl’s shoulder.
The girl’s shoulder had been bitten by the python. Normally, pythons of this size rely on constriction rather than venom to hunt their prey; however, Li Yifei wasn’t familiar with this particular python, so he wasn’t sure whether it was venomous or not.
The girl pressed her hand against her shoulder, her face contorted in pain, and then she suddenly closed her eyes and fell backward.
Li Yifei quickly extended his arm to catch her by the waist, shouting her name a couple of times, but the girl didn’t respond at all. Her lips turned blue, and her jaw clenched tightly—tell-tale signs of poisoning.
Li Yifei gently laid her flat on the ground, carefully tugging at the fabric on her shoulder. Her clothes consisted of two layers made of coarse, hand-woven cloth typical of Miaojiang people, but Li Yifei’s fingers easily tore through it.
