The moment the words left your mouth, you pivoted and dashed toward the doorway. As you flung it open, the old woman, who appeared kind and benevolent, was actually standing right in front of the door!
She had latched onto you!
You took two steps back while simultaneously reaching into your left pocket for a few Exorcism Charms you had prepared in advance.
"Grandma, I mean no harm," you said sternly.
The old woman smiled slightly and said, "I know, otherwise I wouldn’t be so polite. Young man, I still feel like I’ve seen you somewhere before."
