Chapter 13
If all of this is real and ghost stories do exist, couldn’t the priests from the Celestial Church at the school solve it?
"I know what you're thinking. Actually, there's a priest at our school named Father Cesario who’s really focused on exorcisms," Erica pointed out, exactly hitting on what I was thinking.
I scratched my cheek awkwardly and nodded in agreement.
Erica continued explaining.
"But every time he tries to deal with a problem, another priest named Father Miella interferes."
"Why? What’s the reason? They’re both priests, so why is he doing that?"
"He says that if we perform an exorcism and get involved with these delusions of students, it will tarnish the reputation of the school."
That sounds like something a modern person would think.
It wasn’t entirely wrong, though. Even though I’d been experiencing strange events, I still couldn’t fully believe in everything that was happening.
"Well, if there hasn't been any concrete harm, like loss of life, it would be hard to jump in without cause."
"It’s always easy to fix things after the problem arises," Erica sharply retorted.
She seems to seriously believe in the truth of the ghost stories.
