Chapter 192. A Catastrophe
A single spear hurled through the air toward Ushas.
The already massive spear grew even larger and larger as it neared, promising to tear Ushas apart.
“Ha.”
With a disdainful snort, Ushas raised his hand. A thin barrier of mana spread before him, halting the spear in mid-air. Despite its unrelenting force, the spear couldn’t pierce through.
"Say it," Ushas demanded coldly. "What have you done to my sister?"
Kim Do-Joon had told Siwelin the bitter truth that her enemy was her god’s brother. Yet, not even that revelation softened her resolve. Ushas was the nemesis of Laoha, and by extension, her own. Blood ties meant nothing to her, especially in a world where myths regularly pit divine siblings against each other.
Siwelin stayed silent, repulsed by the thought of speaking to him. Instead, she flicked one of her radiant wings ever so slightly.
“Ugh!”
The spear surged forward with renewed vigor. Ushas' eyes widened as it tore through the barrier. The initial crack was small, but that was all it took. Like a dam with its first fissure, the shield collapsed in an instant.
Ushas twisted himself, narrowly avoiding a direct hit. Even he could not hope to survive such a strike unscathed.
