Ashley furrowed his brow but said nothing.
Koi mumbled on from below.
“You’re an Alpha, so of course you’d have sex with Omegas. I’m sure you’ve done it plenty before... You probably said that stuff out of habit. I don’t care. Really, it’s fine.”
Koi kept talking. But Ashley was thinking something completely different.
He had no idea what Koi was even trying to say.
None of it was what Ashley had expected—or hoped—to hear.
“Koi.”
“Y-Yeah?”
Koi clamped his mouth shut mid-ramble. Ashley’s voice was quiet as he continued.
“I’m not really sure what you mean by all this... Do you even understand what we did yesterday?”
That low, measured tone made Koi swallow dryly. He forced his voice to sound light and easy as he answered.
“Of course I do. I know exactly what kind of relationship this is. Don’t worry. If you meet someone you like, I’ll just go back to the West.”
