“Ah!”
At the sudden jolt of pain, Koi instinctively furrowed his brow and let out a short cry. But Ashley didn’t stop—he kept biting at the edge of Koi’s ear. The pressure was so strong it could’ve left a mark, and Koi couldn’t take it anymore. He finally pleaded.
“It hurts, Ash. Stop. It really hurts.”
After he repeated himself several times, Ashley finally pulled his lips away. Koi’s ear was bright red, the bite marks clearly visible—but that was all. Staring at the spot where he’d bitten him, Ashley muttered quietly.
“If you were an Omega, that would’ve left a mark.”
That wasn’t always the case. There were plenty of times the mark didn’t take. Ashley knew that, but the hollow feeling inside him didn’t go away. He’d tried something impossible from the start. Seeing his reaction, Koi looked uneasy and cautiously called his name.
“Ash...?”
His voice came out uncertain, lacking any confidence. It was hard to believe that just moments ago, he’d been completely swept up in the heat of the moment. But it was Ashley who had made him that way—and now Ashley regretted it.
The idiot here... is me. Knowing full well Koi was a Beta, and still trying to leave a mark... What the hell was I thinking?
“Sorry.”
He meant a lot with that one word, but Koi probably didn’t catch all of it. As expected, Koi just smiled and said, “It’s okay.” And that only made Ashley’s feelings even more tangled. The look on his face showed every bit of it, and Koi blinked, puzzled. But he didn’t have time to dwell on it—Ashley pulled him in again and kissed him.
This time, the kiss was soft, affectionate. There was even a hint of restraint. When Koi cautiously parted his lips, Ashley gently traced inside with his tongue. The unexpected ticklishness almost made Koi bite down, but before he could, Ashley withdrew and instead gave his shoulder a light push.
