Chapter 199: New Skill
I activated [Dash Slash] and immediately appeared near Jahrakal. It was surprised by my sudden appearance.
THUMP!
I kicked Jahrakal, but it reacted quickly, blocking with its claws. The impact forced it to stumble a few meters away from Kim and Bob.
"You two okay?"
"I'm fine. But do you really need to use Hero Grace though? The boss isn't that hard to beat. Even if we die, we'll just get sent back to our world," Bob said as he stood up and brushed the dust off his pants.
"I want to get used to the recoil of the Hero Grace skill. You need to work on that too."
"Okay, if you say so. Hero Grace!"
Bob activated the skill as well. An explosion of blue aura burst from his body. Both of us then turned to Kim with grins on our faces.
"No, no! You two just use it. I'll stay on standby here." Kim waved his hands, refusing to activate Hero Grace like us. He was afraid he wouldn't even be able to stand due to the recoil. He knew he needed to work on his stamina first.
The two of us then locked our eyes on Jahrakal, who seemed to sense the surge of power coming from us.
"Let's go!"
Two streaks of light shot across the ground as we charged toward Jahrakal. Jahrakal was alert to our speed and immediately dig underground again. But we already knew what to do to defeat it.
"It can't stay underground for long. I estimate at least one minute. Get ready, Bob."
"Got it, dude."
I immediately jumped upward and pointed Indra downward, ready to fire the moment Jahrakal appeared. Meanwhile, Bob stood at the center of the colosseum, focusing to catch even the slightest movement. And as expected.
Rumble.
A sudden disturbance shook the far side of the colosseum. Bob managed to sense it.
"Over there, Alan!" Bob pointed.
Without wasting a second, I immediately released a barrage of shots toward that spot. Jahrakal had just emerged from the hole when it saw the bullets already closing in. It tried to evade, however Bob was already engaging it.
"Do you think I'll let you go again?!" Bob shouted. He executed [Dash Slash], forcing Jahrakal to block the attack. Even though the damage wasn't much, it was enough to distract its attention for a few seconds.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A barrage of bullets struck Jahrakal instantly. Flesh and blood splashed onto the ground as it screamed in pain. Large wounds appeared across its body.
Kraaku! Kraakkk!
Its screams echoed throughout the colosseum. However, it still had half of its health remaining.
"We go again, Bob!"
"Let's go! I've been waiting for this."
We planned to finish it in one go. Bob switched back to Redwing Disciple, creating massive crimson wings on his back, spreading across nearly half of the colosseum.
I was taken aback for a moment by Bob's form.
"Is that what I looked like before?"
"Amazing!" Kim exclaimed from the back.
Bob immediately unleashed a flurry of attacks at Jahrakal, who tried its best to block them all. However, each of Bob's strikes was enhanced by a crimson aura, causing splash damage to Jahrakal. I supported Bob by firing at it, preventing it from focusing on a single defense.
Finally, an opening appeared and Bob seized the chance.
"Winglash Combo!"
All three strikes landed directly on Jahrakal, and it was instantly vaporized under the crimson flames of the Redwing Disciple Hero Grace Form.
"We did it!" Kim jumped in excitement.
"Haa, haa… that was really cool, right? Huu… let me catch my breath first." Bob dropped to one knee with sweat covering his forehead.

And with that, we had defeated one out of forty bosses in the [Might of Colosseum] deck. It wasn't an easy fight, but we still managed to overcome it with our own strength.
"10,000 Bond Points! What a great reward." Bob grinned excitedly.
"That means you two can purchase new powers, right? Can you please find me some new skills? Maybe one that can kill an enemy in one shot?" Kim asked. He had a rough idea about the Limitless Bond system after we explained it to him. Of course, we only told him about twenty percent of the truth.
"If a skill like that actually existed, we would've used it against this monster already," Bob stared at Kim.
"Ehhh! So there is nothing like that?"
While they were chatting, I checked the details of the new card.

This must be the skill that Jahrakal used before. Even though it summoned dozens of claws compared to only five from this version, it was still a good skill for both offense and defense.
But something else caught my attention. This skill actually had levels. Previously, only equipment like weapons and classes could be leveled up. This was the first time I had come across a skill card like this.
Does that mean it can become stronger? Maybe if I max it out, it would become similar to Jahrakal's version?
That's interesting.
I immediately equipped the skill into my hotkeys for easier use.
After that, we left the colosseum and returned to our room.
"With this, we've confirmed one thing. Kim can actually help us defeat all the bosses in the deck. That means the system has accepted Kim as one of its users, I guess."
Bob and Kim nodded. Kim then glanced at the clock on the wall.
"You two, did you forget the pre-tournament meeting tonight with the Guildmaster? It's already thirty minutes past the time."
"Shoot! We really forgot about it! Alan, come on! Hey Kim, don't forget to lock the room!"
Bob and I immediately rushed out of the room, leaving a dumbfounded Kim behind.
