A Spider Doubt

After losing sight of Mother, I ordered a few spiders to go and bring her here, but something unexpected happened.

{Sorry, little one, I need you to stay back for now; she still needs to grow stronger!}

"Eh, who are you!? And where are you?"

I said as I looked around me, unable to find the source of the voice.

{I can't tell you exactly who I am, but just know that I'm here to help you and her out.}

'To help me!? Who exactly is this person? And who is he talking about? ... Wait, could it be...?'

{That is right, I'm talking about your mother.}

'So she really was mom!... Wait, did he just read my thoughts?!'

After hearing what he said, I breathed a sigh of relief; to hear somebody confirming my doubt was enough for me. To know that mom was really there.

But my happiness did not last long; it seemed like that person had some bad intentions toward her.
