Chapter 265: Searching for Derick
A hint of confusion appeared on the zombie girl’s face. "Dad is... just dad~" She shook her head, relying on her powerful sense of smell and instincts to detect Derick’s scent. However, she hadn’t seen Derick in person and had no idea what he looked like. She only knew that Derick was in Grizzly City.
Lisa and Judy exchanged puzzled looks, both feeling a bit bewildered. They had initially thought they were about to engage in a fight, but then the zombie king suddenly mentioned a scent on Lisa.
"Wait a minute, I think I’ve figured something out~" Judy suddenly had an insight. "When she says dad, it must be a male, it can’t possibly be a woman. And if we talk about the only man in the base, who else could it be? It must be the boss!"
Lisa’s expression was odd. She had also considered this possibility, but the zombie girl seemed to be only a few years younger than Judy. How could the boss suddenly have a daughter, and a zombie king daughter at that? She hadn’t thought in this direction because it seemed unlikely.
"No need to think anymore, it’s definitely the case. You’ve been in contact with the boss recently, and she must be talking about him!" Lisa relaxed her brows, but she still couldn’t quite fathom the connection between the zombie girl and the boss. How could the boss suddenly have a teenage daughter, especially one who turned out to be a zombie king?
The two, along with the zombie girl, landed on the ground. Judy curiously observed the girl, examining her from top to bottom as if trying to see through her.
"Is this the person you’re calling dad?"
To confirm, Lisa pressed the black wristband on her hand and projected an image of Derick, precisely him.
"I... no, I don’t know~ but I remember... I remember his scent~ this, there’s... no dad scent."
The zombie girl stared closely at Derick’s projection for a while, a blood-red glow flashing in her eyes. However, despite her efforts to sniff, she couldn’t detect the dad scent engraved in her soul.
"This is a projection, a virtual representation, definitely without scent. You would be able to smell it when you meet him in person~" Judy had apparently concluded that the zombie girl was the boss’s daughter, perhaps a illegitimate child who had been wandering outside before the apocalypse.
