Chapter 44 Lolo problem
"Lolo! What’s wrong with you?" Roger hurried over and helped the little maid up.
"Brother Roger, Dad has been kidnapped!" Lolo pointed at the alley and said anxiously, her little hand tightly clutching Roger’s arm. Her voice was tearful and particularly sympathetic.
"Okay, okay, it’s okay! Don’t worry, tell me first, who are those people who took your father away?" Roger patted Lolo’s back to comfort her.
"It’s... the Golden Lion. It’s a warrior from Samir." Lolo’s pupils shrank noticeably. He didn’t know what made her so scared.
"They went over there, didn’t they? I’ll go get your dad right now. Wait for me here. If he doesn’t come back before dark, go home and wait." After giving his instructions, Roger ran towards the alley.
The alley led to a slum with poor sanitary conditions. Garbage were everywhere. The houses were built like a maze, with different heights and winding paths. Roger walked around for a long time and only saw a few slovenly homeless people with dull expressions. There was no sign of the Golden Lion.
Just as he was feeling annoyed, suddenly a boy of the same age ran past him. He was disheveled, shouting and yelling, holding a dead snake in his hand, swinging it like a whip, and the snake’s head almost hit Roger’s nose.
"Hey, bastard!" Roger pushed the snake head away and called out to the guy.
"You called me?" The man stopped and looked at Roger with disdain. His hand drooped, and the snake in his hand fell to the ground.
