Chapter 57 -57-The Wonders of a Domain
"Ugh..."
When Link regained consciousness, his entire body felt like jelly—his bones soft, as if they had been melted and reshaped. The soreness was familiar yet no less unpleasant for it.
He’d died countless times by now, but this time was... different.
That bizarre method of death—the way his body had been twisted, shredded, and disintegrated in Nate’s Infinite Void Domain—was something Link never wanted to experience again. Ever.
And to think it had started with Ryze’s little "impromptu performance." The acting had been so realistic, so immersive, that it had barely felt like a staged setup. Before Link could process what was happening, he had played along without hesitation, sucked into the theatrics like it was second nature.
Only now, reflecting on it, did he begin to suspect something: perhaps Ryze’s plan to "help him copy a talent" had always been about setting him up to be killed. After all, Death Replication, his core talent, only activated when he died. So if Ryze wanted Link to copy Nate’s talent, there was really no better—or sneakier—way than this.
It made perfect sense... yet Link still couldn’t help but feel like he’d been royally screwed.
But he didn’t dwell on it for long. His attention soon shifted to something far more exciting—the new talent he’d just acquired.
[SSS-grade Talent Acquired: Infinite Void Domain]
Infinite Void Domain: Unfolds a unique spatial domain. Within the domain, the talent user can shift their position at will—limitlessly and without consuming energy. All sensory abilities of enemies within the domain are blocked. The user’s skills receive a 100x damage multiplier while inside the domain. The size of the domain scales with the user’s Power Values.
Link’s eyes widened with disbelief. "A domain?! I got a domain?!"
